AusCongo Network Inc is an incorporated organisation based in Brisbane which is focused on responding to poverty in the Democratic Republic Of Congo through community development programs.
Our organisation is currently run entirely by volunteers. We are always looking for more people to help our organisation.
We have the following positions vacant:
Fundraising Coordinator – This voluntary position will be responsible for exploring fundraising opportunities, and coordinating events and activities which are initiated to achieve one-off, and also more sustainable sources of income for the various projects within the programs.
Knowledge and previous experience in fundraising activities, and the ability to research effective strategies will be highly valued.
Coordinator of Partnerships – The organisation works with several partner organisations to achieve the goals of these programs. This voluntary position will be responsible for maintaining regular communication with the partner organisations and ensuring that ACN is satisfactorily meeting the reporting requirements and outcomes required under contractual arrangements.
Knowledge of community development initiatives and previous experience in liaising with collaborative partners will be highly valued.
Accounting and Finance Manager – This voluntary position will be responsible for managing the income and expenditure book keeping requirements to assist the treasurer with the preparation of the financial reports.
Understanding of financial recording practices and skills and experience with book keeping will be highly valued.
Grant Application Writer – This voluntary position will be responsible for exploring existing government and corporate funding opportunities and preparing applications for grants which will assist ACN with financing the various projects within the programs.
Understanding of funding allocation processes and experience with the development of funding submissions will be highly valued.

Public Relations Officers – To achieve the intended outcomes, ACN requires an active public relations team of workers who can effectively promote the vision and goals of the organisation. This voluntary position will be responsible for supporting the Public Relations Manager to engage with potential stakeholders and supporters, and develop an influential profile for the organisation.
Experience in contemporary public relations strategies will be highly valued but is not essential.
