About This Program

Growing Food Security from the Ground Up

The Agriculture Training program teaches community members in Mbuji-Mayi how to cultivate crops sustainably using available land and resources. Many participants had never farmed before โ€” this program changes that, turning unused land into productive gardens and farms.

Participants learn practical skills they can apply immediately, and surplus produce is sold at local markets โ€” creating a direct pathway from subsistence to income generation.

Microfinance & Impact

Backed by Microfinance

Completing the Agriculture Training program gives participants access to ACN's microfinance loan fund. These small loans allow graduates to purchase seeds, tools, and equipment to expand their farm beyond the training garden.

Loans are repaid over time from farm income โ€” creating a sustainable cycle where each repaid loan funds the next participant's journey.
