Skills, community & work
ACN is powered entirely by passionate volunteers across Australia and the DRC who give their time, skills, and hearts to our mission of empowering communities.
Led by our founder Pastor Constantin Mukendi, ACN's board guides our strategic direction and ensures our programs deliver lasting impact.
โญ Founder
Pastor Constantin founded AusCongo Network in 2008 after identifying the need for better systems to help Congolese Australians support their families back home. Inspired by the proverb "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime," he envisioned a model that builds sustainable communities rather than dependency.
Under his leadership, ACN has grown from a simple remittance network into a fully-fledged community development organisation running 10 programs in Mbuji-Mayi, DRC, and supporting the Congolese-Australian community through disability support services.
Providing strategic leadership and governance to ensure ACN remains focused on its mission and values.
Overseeing ACN's financial health and compliance, ensuring funds reach the communities we serve.
Managing governance and records, ensuring ACN meets its legal obligations as a registered charity.
Overseeing the design, delivery, and evaluation of ACN's 10 community development programs in Mbuji-Mayi.
Building relationships with the Congolese-Australian community and connecting supporters with ACN's mission.
Leading our team at the Mbuji-Mayi Community Centre who deliver ACN's 10 development programs on the ground.
