A safe, welcoming space where Congolese men in Australia can connect, support each other, share experiences, and build the social networks that underpin strong, healthy communities.

The Man Cave Project creates a regular, safe space where Congolese men in Brisbane and Southeast Queensland can come together. Named for the idea of a personal retreat — a space that's yours — this project is built around the simple but powerful idea that men do better when they're connected.
Regular sessions bring together men of all ages for conversation, shared meals, guest speakers, and practical support on topics ranging from employment and health to fatherhood and community leadership. No agenda — just community.
Every Man Cave session is different — but all share the same purpose: connection, support, and growth.
Sessions often centre around a shared meal — creating a relaxed, informal atmosphere where conversations flow naturally and connections are made.
Community leaders, health professionals, employment specialists, and faith leaders share knowledge and practical guidance relevant to the community's needs.
A structured space for honest conversation about challenges, successes, and experiences — with confidentiality respected and no judgment offered.
Practical workshops on topics like resume writing, financial literacy, navigating government services, and understanding Australian workplace culture.
Recreational activities including sport, games, and outings that build camaraderie and provide healthy outlets for stress and connection.
Dedicated discussions and resources for fathers navigating raising children across two cultures — balancing Congolese traditions with life in Australia.
The Man Cave Project is open to all Congolese men in Brisbane and Southeast Queensland. Sessions are free, friendly, and held in a culturally familiar environment. You don't need to be a member of ACN to attend.
